How to Fix The Fraction!!!

In order to fix the long standing problems with fractions a teacher needs to know how to explain to their students why certain rules apply when working them. For instance, a teacher needs to know how to explain why when you add or subtract fractions you have to have the same denominator? The first and most important thing a teacher should tell their students about this is that you can not add or take away from something if its does not have a common something to take away from. In order to do that fractions must have a common denominator which is the common number used between fraction to add or subtract from.
